In this post I will show you how to use MacOS Compliance policy in Intune to send update notification. Intune cannot directly apply updates to MacOS devices, however with the use of Compliance policy, we can mark the device non-compliant when new update is released and can notify the user in different ways.

We can deploy Windows Updates and Feature updates using Intune as a modern device management which ensures all latest updates are installed on Windows 10 / Windows 11 devices. Update rings can be used within Intune portal to deploy the updates with deferral policies ie. to defer / delay the updates based upon specific needs.

In this post I will be discussing on the topic on how to resolve Intune and group policy conflict. If you have an on-premises infrastructure with Active Directory, then definitely there will be group policies assigned to devices and users. Once you are moving towards Intune in hybrid model, there are highly chance that you will be creating policies on Intune in form of Configuration profile. MDMWinsOverGP is the setting which can be used to control the behaviour and to override Group policy settings.
